Have you ever returned home after a particularly hard day’s work and said to yourself, I think I’ll have something delivered tonight? ….Well guess what?…. Local 39 delivers.

That’s right, the Stationary Engineers, Local 39 Training Center delivers quality “Jobsite Training” directly to our members work locations. In response to an ever increasing number of requests from employers anxious to provide skills training to their employees, our highly skilled instructors deliver comprehensive training courses to their front doors.

In fact the depth of the jobsite training courses that Local 39’s Training Center has made available “for delivery” might surprise you. As of the date of this publication we have already completed on-site training in a multitude of subjects throughout our jurisdiction including Electricity & Electric Motor Controls, Centrifugal Chillers, Medium Voltage Substations Theory & Maintenance, Confined Space Training, Electrical Safety – NFPA 70E, Designated UST Operator Preparatory Training, High Rise Fire Safety Director Renewal and Fire Pump Test Preparatory Training to mention a few.

Never a group that rests on their laurels, the Local 39 Training Department continues to expand the vast array of topics available to members and non-members alike. These training opportunities will expand people’s knowledge base in our challenging and constantly changing career field. In the 18-week course category, courses such as Fire Alarm Signaling Systems (NFPA 72) and Heat Pumps are now available. And let’s not forget our newly developed seminars like those dedicated to Automatic Transfer Switches and Generators, and our new seminar entitled Joint Commission Survey Compliance.

Providing the best training available in the nation is only part of our mission. Being able to share these opportunities with members at a reasonable cost is our commitment to value. In that vein, beginning in Spring 2012 we will be implementing a pricing program for our “Online Training Courses” that will reduce the cost to members of a contributing employer. It’s just another way that the Local 39 Training Department continues to insure that we are able to provide the best and the brightest Stationary Engineers in the country.
