Prerequisite: A basic understanding of air conditioning systems.
This course is recommended for those who have not previously taken the EPA exam. This eight-hour class will provide six hours of review for the CFC/EPA Certification Exam and a two-hour CFC/EPA Universal testing period. Topics include refrigeration, charging, transportation, recycling, and recovery of chlorofluorocarbons. The EPA requirements covered in this review prepare the student for all levels of certification, (Type I, Type II, Type III and Universal). Course formally known as CFC Preparation, Review and Exam.

This four hour class is designed specifically for students who have already taken the Preparation, Review and Exam class. The class includes a review for the CFC/EPA Certification Exam and a two-hour CFC/EPA Universal testing period. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS (24 HOUR)

3-Weeks, 8 Hours Per Session, 24 Hours Total. Textbook Included.
Prerequisite: None.
After completing this course the student should be able to understand the methods used to detect the presence or release of any hazardous chemicals or substances that they may encounter. The student will also understand the types of physical and health hazards posed by any chemicals or substances that they may come across. Additionally the different ways to protect the workers from exposure to chemicals such as work practices, protective equipment and emergency procedures will be explored. The IUOE renewal is valid for one year.
SCHEMATIC READING NEW 9-WEEK COURSE

9-Weeks, 3 Hours Per Session, 27 Hours Total.
Prerequisite: None.
The goal of this class is to upgrade the skill level of the student in the process of comprehending and reading schematic diagrams. The class is divided into three (3) sections: a) introduction on how to read schematics as well as a look into basic motor control diagrams. b) understanding kitchen appliance schematics. c) interpreting HVAC schematics. Note: There will be no hands-on training in this class, strictly schematic reading.
