MOTOR BASICS W/METER

1 Session, 4 Hours Total. Students will receive a SUPCO M500 Megger when attending this seminar. Students will be instructed in some of the basic motor types, as well as the categories of the insulation in the motors. Discussion on why the newer motors need better insulation and the proper techniques to “Megging” a motor. A Megger can also detect wiring problems in conduit. This is an important tool in diagnosing grounded compressor motors, deteriorating insulation in electric motors and insulated wires.
